Я родился в семье потомственных художников. Мой творческий псевдоним - Бархович - это фамилия моего деда.

Сегодня мы постоянно куда-то спешим, пролистываем, переключаемся и мгновенно всё забываем. Мне хочется, чтобы картина возвращала способность задержаться, замечать свет, тишину, фактуру, простые вещи и смыслы, которые обычно проходят мимо.

Для меня каждая из работ - это небольшая история, в которую можно войти со своими воспоминаниями и своим настроением. И тогда картина уже не принадлежит мне, а начинает жить в памяти и ощущениях человека, который остановился рядом... Если мои работы помогают хоть ненадолго замедлить время и посмотреть на привычный мир чуть внимательнее, значит, они появились не зря.

My name is Alexey Barkhovich. I was born into a family of hereditary artists. My creative pseudonym, Barkhovich, is my grandfather’s surname.

Today, we’re constantly in a hurry, we scroll through things, switch between things, and instantly forget everything. I want the painting to restore the ability to linger, to notice light, silence, texture, simple things and meanings that usually pass by.

For me, each of the works is a small story that you can enter with your own memories and your own mood. And then the painting no longer belongs to me; it begins to live in the memory and sensations of the person who stopped nearby...

If my works help to slow down time for even a short while and to look at the familiar world a little more attentively, then they were not in vain.
